I have been a patient of Dr. Westergaard's for 15 years. To say that she's a magnificent doctor would be a vast understatement. She truly understands the suffering and consequences of pain, and she never underrates it. Rather than delegating visits and procedures to a PA or nurse, she meets with and treats every single patient herself. After a diagnosis, her toolkit for treatment is extensive. Through several simple procedures, she has tremendously improved the overall quality of my life. As well, her staff is remarkable. They are always accessible, and they make you know you're important.

Excellent Pain Management Dr. she is very strict but, very good at what she does I have been using her services to help control my pain for about 10 years now but, when you read this your going to think 10 years is a long time but, I’m one of those people that will always have to be on pain management because, of my condition. She is a GREAT Dr. and anyone would be very lucky to have her as there pain management specialist.

Dr. Westergaard has been absolutely amazing. I've had my left knee total replacement 3 times and possibly needing a 4th. Right hip replaced. Hernia left side and multiple right shoulder surgeries. I've lived with sever pain, stabbing, aching, sharp pain, that kept me up at night, over the past 3 plus years that was nearly unbearable until I met Dr. Westergaard. We tried several different pain management products, then several types of medications. She didn't just throw pills at the issue, she tries to get to the bottom, root causes and actually tries to help find a solution. The medications she prescribes me, helps control the pain, which allows me to work full time and live a some what normal life. Without medication I couldn't work. I couldn't walk down stairs or walk down the block without crying. I don't just feel like a number with her, or a patient, I feel like she actually cares. I highly recommended her to anyone that's living with pain and who think they have to live a life with pain, because you don't. She'll help you find a way to control it.

I am a new patient with very advanced Shingles on the right side of my head, neck, tongue and right shoulder. The 24/7 pain and torment are indescribable. Dr. Westergaard conducted a thorough interview, then started on a plan which initially consists of some tests. She was kind, caring, listened carefully and asked many questions. I left with the impression that she takes my problem very seriously. I am greatly anticipating our next visit after all the test results are in, when perhaps we can start on a pain relief protocol that allows me to stay functional.

I have gone to her in the past and was just getting ready to go to her again and I’m really surprised about anyone giving her a bad review. Having been a healthcare professional for over 30 years I can tell you that she is genuine and a professional who takes her job very seriously and is a caring person. I would recommend her to anyone without reservation. I also wanted to add after reading another review that sometimes we don’t understand how delicate the spinal area is. You have to be 100% sure that you’re not going to cause any amount of bleeding which can lead to paralysis. Yes, I said that paralysis. Doctors have to be extremely careful , and they do this because they are being caring not because they want to delay your treatment. Additionally, if you go to a specialist and they are recommending a different area to be examined, which may cause your symptoms and it doesn’t make sense to you. That’s OK because it’s difficult to explain to someone who has not gone to school for eight years to learn all the different intricacies of the human body, the pathology And the nuances that exist. We have to be patient with the physician who is the specialist. Even knowing the things that I know from being in the medical industry for over 30 years I still learn new things every day. So give the doctors a chance they know that you were hurting it may not come across to you that way, but they know and they are trying to figure this out so that they can give you a solution and get you to the path Recovery. Again, I would recommend Dr Westergaard without reservation.

I just canot say enough great things about Dr. Westergaard and her amazing staff. To say she is incredible is an understatement!! If it were not for her, I truly believe I would not be here today with the excruciating amounts of pain I was in whenever I first started seeing her. To now have enough relief with her help to be able to live life with my family that includes 3 very active little ones is nothing short of amazing, and it’s all because of her. She takes the time to really listen and goes above and beyond to help. She’s even helped me after a freak accident tore my calf muscle to get imaging and find the right Orthopedic Surgeon and Vascular Surgeon to get answers and help. She’s truly on-of-a-kind, and just the most sweetest and most compassionate physicians there is. She’s so highly educated and knowledgeable, and will go above and beyond to help you. I so appreciate her doing trigger point injections and a block to try and help as well! Her wonderful staff is so awesome, friendly and caring - their smiles make you feel so much better! They work so diligently to ensure all is taken care of so that you don’t have to worry about it, which is awesome! I could go on and on about Dr. Westergaard, and will never be able to thank her enough for all that she’s done, and is doing, to help me.
